For years, digital nomads and expats have thrived on a patchwork of platforms, NomadList for city insights, Facebook groups for networking, Meetup.com/Eventbrite for events or Instagram for storytelling. But here’s the problem: these tools were either not built for us, or if they were (as is the case with NomadList), they were never really elaborated or built out further. As a result, nomads, expats and location-independent people found themselves disconnected and reliant on a set of fragmented solutions.

From Sharing Economy to Creator Economy

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of shaping the Sharing Economy launching projects like Sharing Academy—Europe’s first peer-tutoring marketplace, which won the Best App of the World award during Mobile World Congress in 2016. This journey not only allowed me to build something meaningful but also revealed the Creator Economy as the natural culmination and higher purpose of everything the Sharing Economy set in motion.
