2025 End of Year Recap
Merry Christmas everyone!
Another year down, and what a year it’s been.
I wanted to share another update with you all, considering how much things have evolved with Satlantis. As many of you will well know, we are now a fully-fledged events platform.
The original “social travel super-app” concept is gone.
The mission now (thanks in large part to feedback from many of you) is to: Build the best events platform in the world. Period.
The fact that it’s Bitcoin and Nostr-native is icing on the cake. But the real value, the real benefit of this product will come from the fact that it’s just so good.
I am so proud of our team. Within a space of 5 months, we went from about 20% feature parity with Luma (the gold standard for events right now) to about 80% feature parity.
In fact, we are already ahead of them in some areas of functionality (like the social profiles, etc.).
This is a gargantuan effort and testament to the fact that our most important asset is our team and that we will continue to ship and deliver.
So without further ado, let me give you the updates to close out the year:
Product Updates
- Attendee management console & admin panel
Events of all sizes can now be supported end-to-end with everything from capacity limits, waitlists, gated events with hidden locations, registration forms and full status control for every attendee. - Bitcoin-native ticketing which you can read about in detail here. Every single event on Satlantis comes with its own dedicated, segregated Bitcoin wallet, controlled by the host. This makes us the first legit bitcoin-native creator product. You can literally create an account, spin up an event and GET PAID in under 3 minutes. No KYC, no “linking your Stripe account”, no begging for permission – just create an event and get paid. Simple. Fast. Beautiful.
- Calendars
Our calendars are now on par with Luma. Functional, beautiful and available for both conferences with side events, and communities with regular events - Contacts Management (CRM)
We’ve built a powerful CRM, which will soon have a simple import function to begin pulling people over from Luma, Meetup & Eventbrite. In the next release we’ll have audience segregation and tagging, making communications 10x better. If you’re running an event on another platform, you can now migrate your entire list across. You can see our Head of Growth Jordi demonstrating this feature in this video).
In testing right now:
- New Profile View
Our new profile view is something truly unique. It’s a blend of event app profile, social profile, Linktree bio page and wallet. You have to see it to appreciate it. - User-level Bitcoin Wallets
The next step on the path to making a product that is truly Bitcoin-native and designed for sats to flow. Everyone gets a wallet when they create an account. They can use it as a standard lightning wallet, like they would Wallet of Satoshi or Primal, and it unlocks all sorts of novel functionality within the app. Think split bills at dinner, attendee incentives & prizes, event bonuses, promoter or affiliate payouts.
There is even more cooking and we still have to deprecate a few more legacy features to make the overall experience succinct and clear, but this is the foundational stuff.
So go and try it out. I’m sure that you will be as amazed and proud as I am.
Usage
Since we made the pivot and rolled out the MVP of the events-focused app (at Adopting Bitcoin in El Salvador in Nov), we’ve had an explosion of activity.
We smashed through 500 events and are on our way to 1,000 events from all around the world:

Once we pull these last few features together and complete the transformation into a highly performant Events App (expected by end of Jan), we will put all our attention into growing that number further.
The Bitcoin space finally has a real events app that we can all be proud of.
If you’re a host of any sort, or know anyone hosting events, let them know and let’s all start to move away from Meetup, Eventbrite and shitcoin Luma.
Conferences
We are working with conferences in TWO distinct capacities:
- Light partnershipThis constitutes being their official partner for satellite events and perhaps even agenda or networking once we have built that feature (Q2 2026).
- End-to-end partnershipThis is the gold standard, where the conferences use us for everything from ticketing to attendee management, registration, satellite events and – when ready – agenda & networking. This is where we will make large ticket sales, build real reputation and a real user-base.
We’ve had many light partnerships already, because it’s easy to set up and event organisers have nothing to lose. The end-to-end are the ones we’re really after and require more work, promises and guarantees.

We have secured 5 of the latter for 2026 already and are aiming to secure 10 in total by end of Q1 next year, for conferences that will span from 500 people up to 4,000 in Latin America, Europe, Australia and Asia.
If we can deliver on these successfully, I expect that the majority of Bitcoin conferences in 2027 will be entirely hosted on Satlantis – including the big ones like BTC Prague and BTC Media.
We’re working our asses off to make this happen.
Once again, if you’re a conference organiser or know one – reach out or link us up.
Close & Ask
To close this out, I want to say a few things and make some small asks.
First and foremost: Thank you.
Thank you for your continued support and patience. This has been a journey, and while I wish we had begun this transformation earlier (oh how I wish I had started at the beginning of 2025) hindsight is 20/20 and we are where we are.
Second: TRY the product!
Even if you're not an organiser yourself, trust me - you'll love the app. Go download it, create an account and have a look around!
Third: Event Hosts, Communities, Conferences
Some of you are regulars at either meetups, conferences, or tech events. Some of you might even be organisers. The product is in a strong enough state to start pulling people off other platforms. If half of you gave us one or two intros each, that’s another few hundred communities on the app, which will result in 10 times that many events.
So send intros!
Thank you all again.
Merry Christmas. Happy New Year and I look forward to the next chapter of this journey in 2026!
